What is Presence Display?
Presence Display is a newly added module to the MeetWise platform that showcases live availability screens, instantly indicating whether a person is Free or Busy based on their current meeting status. Unlike traditional scheduling panels designed for large conference spaces, this feature is built specifically to be launched outside individual customer and employee offices.
How does Presence Display work?
Because MeetWise is entirely hardware-agnostic and operates on a flexible bring-your-own-device (BYOD) model, deploying this new feature does not require expensive, proprietary hardware. The module is optimised to run smoothly on very low-end display devices — such as standard Android tablets — directly through a modern web browser. This ensures a fast, highly cost-effective rollout across your entire workspace.
What features does it deliver?
The module goes beyond simple red-light/green-light availability, offering interactive communication tools right at the door:
- Real-time availability — automatically syncs with schedule statuses to display whether the occupant is currently free or busy.
- Instant digital notes — if an employee is busy or away, visitors can use the endpoint device to send a direct note to them.
- On-demand video conferencing — visitors can request a video call with the employee shown on the screen, with 1-way or 2-way audio and video directly from the endpoint device to the office inside.
- Fully customisable UI — administrators can match corporate branding and decide exactly what information is visible to passers-by.
